Pastor Dan embarked on his spiritual journey when he completed his theological studies from Bethel Theological Seminary in the year 1979 with a masters in Church Ministry. His dedication and commitment to serving the divine and the community led him to minister congregations in the picturesque town of Grand Marais, Minnesota, and the charming city of Manistee, Michigan.
We at Mobridge United Church of Christ are indeed fortunate to have Pastor Dan as a guiding light since July 2022. His arrival followed the departure of Pastor Keith, but he has since filled those shoes with grace and wisdom.
Pastor Dan is not just a spiritual guide but also a man of varied interests. He finds solace in the harmonious world of music and expresses creativity through woodworking. Beyond his pastoral duties, he is a loving father to three wonderful children. His multifaceted personality and his deep-rooted faith make him a cherished leader in our community.
Misty is truly the heartbeat of Mobridge United Church of Christ. Her dynamic role involves wearing numerous hats, each of which she dons with admirable dedication and efficiency. She is the unsung hero who ensures that the church operates seamlessly at all levels.
One of her many responsibilities includes meticulously preparing the bulletin, a task she accomplishes with precision and creativity. Her attention to detail ensures that every announcement, every event, and every special note is communicated clearly to our congregation.
As an integral part of the trustee board, Misty plays a pivotal role in making important decisions for the church. Her insights and suggestions often prove invaluable, demonstrating her deep understanding of the church’s mission and values.
In addition to her other roles, Misty adeptly handles the church’s finances, ensuring that funds are allocated wisely and transparently. This critical task requires a high degree of trust, competence, and integrity, all of which Misty possesses in abundance.
Perhaps one of Misty’s most remarkable qualities is her instinctive ability to discern what needs to be done. This unerring instinct is not merely a product of her experience; it reflects her deep-seated commitment to the church and its community.
